ABOUT MISS TIANA AND FAMILY
My name is Tiana Wanson and I have been married for 12 years to my wonderful husband
Erik. We moved to Round Rock TX in 2003 from Southern California in hopes for a better way
of life for our new family. I am the proud mother to two beautiful children Ryan and Camryn
who have opened my heart as a mother and paved my way for becoming a daycare provider
and early childhood educator.
My parenting beliefs are along the lines of Attachment Parenting a term coined by the popular
parenting guru Dr. William Sears. This style of parenting came natural to me in the way of
simply following my instincts and my children's cues. Some of the main fundamentals of
Attachment Parenting are: Gentle Discipline, Extended Breastfeeding, Sleep Sharing, and
Baby wearing. While I believe in AP for myself and my family I also feel that every family knows
what works best for them.
I currently have a CDA (Child Development Associates) and am licensed with the state of TX. I
am continuously taking classes to expand my knowledge as a daycare provider and learn more
and more about child development and related topics.
My love of children led me to my career as a daycare provider. My job is so fulfilling everyday
I get to see the children slowly learning new tasks, building social skills, and growing into their
own person. It is so wonderful to get to experience, share and contribute to such a special
time in their lives.
In starting my home daycare I wanted to provide an atmosphere where parents could feel
comfortable in leaving their children. A place where the child could feel at home and would be
given the opportunity to learn and grow socially, emotionally and intellectually at their own
pace. It sometimes can be a difficult decision for a parent to go back to work and leave their
child in a daycare, one of my main goals was to make that transition in their lives an easy one
and to put the parents minds at ease that their children are in safe, comfortable, fun place.
Everyday I feel truly blessed to be able to do this and to able to be such a special part of these
families lives and for them to be such a special part of mine.
